An Ayurvedic herb that supports the increase in energy, vitality, and combating stress. This recipe is inspired by my passion for Japanese culture and Ayurveda. From past travels to Japan, and time studying the fundamentals of Ayurveda through Banyan Botanicals LAI program in 2020. Organic ingredients

Gather : small bowl, bamboo/hand whisk (optional) or vessel + lid to shake/incorporate ingredients, matcha, water, kettle/pot, milk, maple syrup, spoon.

Renew Matcha Tea Latte

Mellow Matcha & Ashwagandha Tea Latte

Directions

  1. To prepare hot or chilled, heat 1 oz water to begin.

  2. CHILLED - Add matcha and ashwagandha powders to small bowl. Pour 1 oz hot water and whisk in a circular motion until fully incorporated. Next, pour chilled milk and syrup into bowl whisking together. If you’d like the matcha to be even colder, I invite you to add a small handful of ice (less ice less diluted) to a +16 oz tin shaker / glass jar w/ lid. Pour ingredients over ice add top tin / lid + shake 5x. Strain through metal strainer. Enjoy!

  3. HEATED - Heat milk in small pot until vapors rise. Add Matcha and Ashwagandha powders to small bowl. Pour 1 oz hot water and whisk in a circular motion until powders are mixed into liquid. Next, add heated milk and maple syrup. If you don’t have a whisk, pour into an insulated coffee/tea to-go mug w/ sealing lid, shake 5x. Strain through metal strainer (optional). Option 2, add to heat resistant large vessel using an immersion blender / electric whisk. Or, add to blender. CAUTION - blenders w/o locking lids can pop off and potentially burn, this happened to me, I don’t want it to happen to you!
